Amenity Spotlight – 88 Acres Donated to Allegheny Land Trust

Here at Venango Trails we are dedicated to helping people create their dream home and to really foster a sense of community. This is why at the beginning of the project we decided to donate 88 acres of beautiful woods ,that are adjacent to the neighborhood, to the Allegheny Land Trust for conservation. This would ensure that this land stays protected from future development and open for the public to enjoy. The Venango Trail Conservation Area is at the headwaters of the Brush Creek watershed and has many springs, spring seeps and mature hardwoods.  One of the oak trees is so large that it takes three adults to wrap their arms completely around its four foot diameter trunk.  The historic Venango Trail, which our neighborhood is named after, actually exists on the property and once connected the “Forks of the Ohio” with Presque Isle at Lake Erie.

If you are a current or future resident, or even just someone who enjoys the outdoors, this 88 acre tract of land is a wonderful place to take an afternoon hike and just experience nature.
